I want to be a better Directory & Identity admin!

Books and whitepapers can only get you so far.

Mixing it up with other admins and industry leaders... priceless!

Lastly my work to too cheap to send me.

Why would I want to attend TEC conference .... I can answer that in one word.  POWERSHELL!

Since Quest is one of the major sponsors I know that Powershell and PowerGui will be front and center.

I attend the Powerscripting podcast every week and I am a avid PoSHer.

Hope to see you there with my Golden Ticket in hand!

Hi there from Toronto, Canada!

I'm an IT consultant and Entrepreneur in Toronto that deals with a number of Exchange Servers covering versions 2003 to 2007.  I am looking forward to see and learn more about Exchange 2010 and powershell.. I'm looking to understand powershell much more!

The Experts: Certainly, David Espinoza is one person I would like to see speak, also from others like Dmitri Gavrilov with his development perspective. So many interesting people to see and network with. I'm especially interested in the Keynote - seeing more about Microsoft's deployment of Exchange 2010 - that should be a fascinating case study. It's always great to see how Microsoft internally embraces it's own technology.

What I intend to learn and discuss: I'm looking forward to really a get a deeper look at the Exchange product as a whole - delve deeper into the use of Powershell and it's cmdlets on Exchange. Look into the new version of Exchange and its benifits.I'm looking to understand database management, user management, and more info on how to better use Outlook Anywhere and OWA. I would also like to see more of the Sharepoint product if there is time.

Experience with prior TEC events: I have not been to a TEC event - nor do I recall seeing on in the frigid cold of Canada.. but it seems like a great event!

I look forward to getting the chance to attend this conference.

Thanks,

I'm an IT Admin/Developer who is supporting our entire SharePoint farm basically by myself. I need to know this stuff and know it deep. These conferences are always loaded with tips and techniques and twists on using the technologies in ways I hadn't thought of. With SP2010 releasing soon, I want to get ahead of the curve and be prepared for the upgrade processes and to take advantage of the new features.

I've never been to a TEC event before, but know the presenters are first rate and know their stuff.

Why I should be on a TEC this year. First of all to prove that if You really want it is a key to do it ... I'm on my personal quest to get to TEC 2010 in LA this year to prove that minimal budget is not a true obstacle if You want to do something. I can secure my flights with minimal costs (there is no free lunch from airlines companies ;) ), I managed to secure place to stay in hotel in LA during the conference (friends are key assets ... always). One piece of a puzzle I'm still missing is an entrance pass to TEC itself. And I hope here is a place I can at least try to earn it ...

Why I started this quest in a first place? It is about TEC itself ... for me it is always opportunity to learn. Learn through sessions, learn through meeting other people, learn through sharing experience about "how we do things our way". In some cases it is also opportunity for myself to share my knowledge and experience with other attendees ... anyway ... for me this year, besides interesting topics on directory services (hearing Dmitri talking about ADAM), TEC is about FEDERATION and FIM. New solutions, new approaches, new problems and new learning curve. Probably only place one can talk to crowd of people with proven experience from real life projects in these areas is TEC 2010. And this makes it a conference worth to attend every year.

But TEC isn't only about getting knowledge through sessions attendance. It is opportunity to spend few days among the people who are breathing the same "air" and if you say OpenID they don't think about opening passport or other identification document. During these few days you don't have to say "I'm typing on a keyboard" if somebody will ask You "What do You do?"

Informal discussions in between the sessions and after the sessions in the evening  make TEC attendees look like alien for other people, but this is only place in the world where You can hear discussion about DNT usage and exhaustion over the bar counter in hotel around midnight. And make no mistake ... in most cases such discussions are on highest technical level, even if it is just "short break" between interesting talks on technology, random subjects ... which includes also meaning of life and well known ultimate question of life, universe and everything.

So once again ... why I want to go to TEC 2010 ... just to experience perfect mixture of high quality technical content during the conference mixed with perfect opportunity to network and (re-)connect with peers working in the same areas in different parts of the world. Share knowledge, experience, see what has changed in friends life, get to know new friends

And last but not least ... remember ... I'm on the quest :) ... and getting this pass will help me complete my quest ... and prove that if You really want it, You can do it!!!

And I do want to see performance of next "TEC song" or whatever it will be live this time!

I'm a Messaging & Collaboration Architect & really want to know what Exchange 2010 has to offer. Can't wait to see both David's (Sengupta & Espinoza) in action talking about it.

I've been involved in TAP & beta testing of E2K10 & hence want to learn tips & tricks for migrating from Lotus Notes to E2K10 & Sharepoint. Quest being the primary sponsor, have plethora of tools for Notes 2 Exch migration & need to brush up my skills for these tools with Exchange 2010 & SharePoint.

I'm sure TEC 2010 will be a one of the rocking event for entire Exchange community.

Hope to be there !!

Hi There,

Why I should attent at the TEC2010, just can't get enough from SharePoint technologies. I am a SharePoint Consultant and totally addic at SharePoint. Been at the SPC2008 and 2009 in Las Vegas  and the SPC2010 in Amsterdam as an exhibitor.

I have been involved in several SharePoint 2007 implementations for quite different branches. For the early 2010 adaptors I want to brush up my skills with EXTRA SharePoint knowledge.

Sure that TEC 2010 will be a rocking event, specially when I will and can attend ;)

Keep the SharePoint SPIRIT!!

The TEC2010 is the place where the Sharepoint Experts will gather ... and those are the people I want to listen and learn from. And LA is only a drive from where I live so no backing out due to travel/hotel expenses (if I win the pass).

  • I need to learn the real skinny on MOSS and Project Server integration
  • I have never been to LA
  • I have a southwest voucher burning a hole in my pocket
  • We are about to start pushing for 2010 across the enterprise and I need a leg to stand on with the client and higer ups!

I have been using SharePoint for a little over a year.  While I have learned a great deal of the basic functionality that SharePoint offers but have not been able to attend any training to help grow my skills.  There is so much that SharePoint offers and I desire to better understand the core functionality and how to best utilize it to help improve the business processes at the hospital system I work for.

I've been using and building applications on the sharepoint platform since version 1. I want to learn from the experts and brush up my skills on SharePoint 2010 because I love the technology and believe it will THE cloud computing platform of the next years.

Hi ,

I have started working on SharePoint on August 2009 and i was really amazed by it's capabilities to fit to enterprise needs. I've created a blog and started writing technical and commercial articles. After that i've created a usergroup to help the community working on SharePoint and especially SharePoint 2007. In tunisia, i've also organised meetings and attended meetings that really helped me to be in contact with other experts in my country. I've planned to go to the TechDays in Paris but i couldn"t. and i started thinking about the going to TEC 2010. Going to TEC will allows me to be in contact with great SharePoint experts that will boost me more in my carreer. Sharing knowlege with other attendies is also a motivation. I always wanted to meet Joel , Muhanad, Imran, and many other MVP's so i think that TEC is right place. Visiting LA is also a very motivating thing and i think that everyone want to be there.
